Ad Operations Specialist/Media Trader

district m is looking for a Media Trader to join its team. Your role in ad operations for this dynamic start-up will lead you to strategically plan and execute digital display campaigns and optimize toward advertiser’s performance goals. You will be working from district m’s 12,000 sq ft facility in Montreal’s Mile-End district.

Your mission:

  • Strategically build, manage, and optimize display campaigns, primarily using AppNexus and Display Video 360 by Google;
  • Support the sales teams in planning display campaigns;
  • Master ad trafficking steps/possibilities and provide support to advertisers in preparation for campaign launch;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information in a meaningful way
  • Analyze campaign’s delivery data and optimize against campaign objectives;
  • Leverage district m’s portfolio of rich ad format to improve campaign performance and provide bespoke strategies to clients;
  • Continuously improve buying methodologies and follow programmatic industry trends and innovations;
  • Provide campaign reports and performance analysis and recommendations for all activities;
  • Work with product teams from all departments to implement best practices on new programmatic solutions;

Requirements:

  • 1-2-year experience in digital campaign management;
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken);
  • Well-versed in the use of the Internet;
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Outlook;
  • Willing to help others;
  • A strategic, analytical thinker with strong quantitative and qualitative skills;
  • Excellent project management and communication skills;
  • Familiar with web-based advertising metrics;
  • Experience with DBM, AppNexus or other DSPs;
  • Enjoys a fun, fast paced environment;
  • Self-starter, good at working both independently and with a team;
  • Flexible, able to meet short deadlines;
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
  • Prior experience with all forms of digital advertising targeting, as well as working with data warehouses, internal customer databases, rich media, etc.;
  • Knowledge of social media and search marketing.

We'll call you right away if you are also:

  • Experienced with AppNexus;
  • Knowledgeable of trafficking platforms such as Campaign manager (google) and Sizmek.
