Director Sales Engineering

district m is looking for a Director Sales Engineering for our office in Toronto. The sales engineer must have strong technical knowledge of the products, an addition to have interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade.

Your missionYour mission

  • Understand the customer DSPs needs and promote company’s product as best solutions addressing those needs;
  • Be the technical sales primary point of contact for existing customer DSPs;
  • Collaborate closely with the DSP Relationship & Integration Director and other stakeholders;
  • Take the leadership on DSP integrations, format activations and/or other initiatives with DSPs;
  • Collaborate and assist the Chief Technology Officer and his team to build the ad exchange technology roadmap;
  • Be the voice of customers for the Product team;
  • Support the creation and delivery of quarterly and annual business reviews with clients, highlighting progress against jointly agreed KPIs and identify new opportunities;
  • Oversee the training of employees and existing connections;
  • Be responsible for securing the technical aspect during customers calls;
  • Qualify and broaden deals with customers by acting as a trusted technical advisor;
  • Conduct research of the competitive landscape and industry trends will be essential to your success as a Sales Engineer.

You’ll need to haveYou’ll need to have

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field/discipline;
  • 3+ years relevant experience;
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising, auction bidding systems, bids stream attributes, formats, bid/log level data of an ad exchange;
  • Understand the buy and sell side dynamics of an ad exchange and balance of demand vs supply;
  • Deep knowledge of the major demand side platforms and supply side frameworks, wrappers (including TAM, Prebid.org), SDKs, client and server side;
  • General knowledge of formats such as display, inApp, video, native, CTV/OTT;
  • Be analytical, thorough, be logical, detail-oriented, curious and data-driven;
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication aptitudes as well as attention to details;
  • Willingness for travel.
